Mysteries of Prayer

Mysteries of Prayer

Lord God of heaven and earth, I call on Your name.

One of the great mysteries is that Your Word calls believers to pray.

You who are full of grace and mercy, teach us to pray to You.
You who are full of lovingkindness, involve us in Your plans.

How can I align my mind and heart with You, in the mysteries of prayer?
How can I best pray for myself and best intercede for others?
How can I take what You revealed in Your Word to pray effectively?
How can I flow with You by the Holy Spirit to pray according to Your will?
How can I express my faith in You and Your faithfulness to answer prayers?

I accept that You KNOW everything all the time.
SO I cannot inform You of any news.

I accept that You understand me TOTALLY.
SO I do not need to explain myself to You.

I acknowledge that You are fully aware of all the factors of all people everywhere.
SO I do not need to provide You with my reporting or commentary.

I appreciate that You care about all people all the time.
You know perfectly what each person needs and wants.
You are intimately aware of each of their hurts and pains.
You know how You can best reach and teach each soul.
You can effectively interact with every kind of personality.

You call on me to pray for others.
My intercessions are somehow used in Your great purposes.

I do not need to convince You to be good, kind or loving.
These are always part of who You are.

You are never in a hurry.
You are always patient.
You are longsuffering.
You are completely understanding.

You have attributes that are real, unchanging, documented and proven.
Your attributes include:
You are love.
You are spirit.
You are holy.
You are wise.
You are caring.
You are righteous.
You are above reproach.

You know everything.
You are everywhere.
You have all power.

God, I again choose to fully surrender my will to Your will.
May Your will be done in my life.

May You continue to work DEEP in my heart do that I consistently trust You fully.

May I feed on Your Word daily.

May I quickly follow the promptings of Your Holy Spirit.

May I drink deeply of Your presence while in prayer and worship.

Good Shepherd guide my thoughts, words and deeds today and each day in the future.

God Almighty bless me in wonderful ways.
May Your blessings allow me to be a greater blessing to others.

Draw me to Yourself.
Comfort my heart.
Renew my mind.
Direct my steps.
Grant me strength to do Your will.
May I give You thanks often.
May Your name be praised in all the earth.

Amen, so be it!
